Sci-fi sandbox builder game for PC

TerraTech Worlds is a premium adventure game for PC developed by Payload Studios. It is a sci-themed sandbox base builder that is set on an uncharted alien planet. Players will need to scavenge for resources to be able to craft all kinds of material needed to establish a factory base and to survive its hostile conditions.

Similar to No Man's Sky or Astroneer, TerraTech Worlds also incorporated open-world survival mechanics in its gameplay for an engaging and challenging experience. What makes it more interesting is its use of customizable rovers for traversing the land, transporting materials, and even combat.

Uncharted planet

TerraTech Worlds takes place in the frontiers of space wherein you take on the role of a Prospector traversing the galaxy in search of uncharted worlds. You come upon one such planet and it is up to you to explore and discover its mysteries, as well as determine whether it's a land bountiful in resources from which you can mine to help terraform the planet.

Your main goal in this game is to build an automated base capable of harnessing the planet's resources and converting them to materials needed for various infrastructures. You have a highly customizable rover-like vehicle to help you get around the 300-square-kilometer planet to mine and collect resources. Reshape the landscape to your liking with the terraforming tools available at your disposal.

You also need to upgrade your combat capabilities to take on various hostile Techs you'll encounter along the way. The game also features online co-op with up to six players to help make facing challenges a bit easier. All that said, the gameplay can be too grindy at times, particularly, when it comes to collecting resources, which will put off some players.

Fun if a bit tedious

All in all, TerraTech World is a fun and engaging experience for both fans of sci-fi games and survival builders. There's a vast map to explore, you can pretty much customize your ride however you want, and online co-op is there to enjoy with friends. The gameplay can feel like a chore sometimes, but there are plenty of good things to balance it out.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
